Jennifer E. Brant – Yakothehtón:ni, sits with the Bear Clan in Kenhté:ke, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Ontario, and is a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte. She is an Educator, Singer-songwriter, Artist, and Farmer. Jennifer’s work reflects her connection to her Kanyen’kéha (Mohawk) culture, and the people and places that surround her. She has played throughout Eastern Ontario at numerous festivals and events over the past 25 years as a single, duo with her husband Kieran Edwards or with her band Mustang. Jennifer and Kieran independently
released 2 CDs (Live at Rogue’s Hollow and Home Sweet Home). Jennifer released a single – It’s Wintertime Again in 2021 and just released her latest album – Resilience, December 2023.
The album, “Resilience”– is inspired by Kanyen’kéha (Mohawk) language and culture. Three of the songs are bilingual Kanyen’kéha and English.
Jennifer E. Brant – Yakothehtón:ni, fait partie du clan de l’Ours à Kenhté:ke, dans le territoire mohawk de Tyendinaga, en Ontario, et est membre des Mohawks de la baie de Quinte. Elle est éducatrice, auteure-compositrice-interprète, artiste et agricultrice. Le travail de Jennifer reflète son lien avec sa culture Kanyen’kéha (Mohawk), ainsi qu’avec les gens et les lieux qui l’entourent. Au cours des 25 dernières années, elle s’est produite dans tout l’Est de l’Ontario à l’occasion de nombreux festivals et événements en solo, en duo avec son mari Kieran Edwards ou avec son groupe Mustang. Jennifer et Kieran ont indépendamment indépendant deux CD (Live at Rogue’s Hollow et Home Sweet Home).
